SEO Data Analyst
Role Overview
Torque is a bespoke digital consultancy that provides digital acceleration services working across numerous market verticals internationally. We are currently seeking an SEO Data Analyst to join us as part of our team working with a major international client. The SEO Data Analyst position will involve you having great communication skills, a high degree of data literacy an analytical and curious mindset alongside great organisation skills and you should be someone who enjoys engaging with people and working with a wide variety of stakeholders.
You will need a good level of SEO knowledge and some degree of experience working within a similar, enterprise level environment. In terms of skills and requirements, you will have experience in SEO data analysis and enjoy presenting analytical reports and building data tools. You should be a clear communicator and be able to work well in a team. We're looking for someone who has a clear sense of organisation and logical approach to problem solving. You will be proactive, curious and understand how to present razor sharp commercial insights to senior stakeholders effectively. On-going training and development will be a key part of the role, so you should have an active learning mindset and passion for developing new skills.
Responsibilities

Log Analysis & Bot Monitoring
Building reports and dashboards in Grafana, monitoring SEO bots, and acting as a point of coordination when security blocks, CDN policies, or application-level changes impact crawling behaviour across different eBay pools/apps.

SQL & Hadoop / Search Data Analysis
Strong understanding of Google Search Console datasets and performance metrics (clicks, impressions, rankings), along with the ability to perform analysis across pools, countries, hosts, and devices. Examples include:
- Analyzing performance before/after algorithm updates
- Monitoring international market trends
-
Identifying anomalies in impression metrics
-
Investigating bot/API behaviours that may skew reporting or traffic patterns

Operational & Technical SEO Troubleshooting
Ability to identify issues proactively and collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and technical SEO teams to define solutions, including crawl directive updates (robots.txt, CDN/request behavior, etc.).

Crawl Health & Traffic Monitoring
Monitoring crawl rates and ensuring bot/user-agent traffic trends remain stable or improve over time, including identification and validation of new agents to ensure they are appropriately whitelisted and monitored.

Crawler Validation & Request Testing
Auditing whether bots can properly access/render pages through crawlers or Python scripts, including manipulating request conditions such as JavaScript rendering, custom user agents, and CDN-defined headers/fields.

AI, Automation & Problem Solving
Using AI and coding creatively to improve workflows, accelerate investigations, and automate repetitive analysis. Familiarity with tools such as Claude, Gemini & ChatGPT APIs, grounding/search capabilities, and general AI-assisted workflows is definitely a plus.
Key Skills/Requirements

Collaborate across teams both internally and externally to ensure successful project outcomes

Regular calls and email communication with the client within a North America time zone Mon-Fri and calls with the UK team during UK business hours

Working knowledge of project management, time tracking software and Microsoft Office suite (Jira would be advantageous)

CDN Edge Operations Engineer
Role Overview
Torque is a bespoke digital consultancy that provides digital acceleration services working across numerous market verticals internationally. We are looking for a motivated and technically curious Edge Operations Engineer (CDN Solutions Engineer) to join our infrastructure team. In this role, you will help design, deploy, and maintain edge delivery infrastructure — ensuring fast, secure, and reliable experiences for our clients.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who has a solid understanding of web
protocols and networking fundamentals, and is eager to grow into edge computing, CDN configuration, and performance engineering.
Responsibilities

Configure and manage CDN platforms (e.g. Cloudflare, Fastly, AWS CloudFront, or Akamai) to optimise content delivery.

Implement and tune caching strategies including cache-control headers, TTLs, and purge workflows.
-
Monitor edge performance and investigate issues relating to latency, cache hit ratios, and origin offload.
-
Assist in configuring WAF rules, DDoS mitigation policies, TLS certificates, and security headers at the edge.
-
Write and maintain scripts and automation to manage CDN configuration changes and deployments.
-
Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and product engineering teams to support new features and traffic requirements.

Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to incident response, troubleshooting, and post-mortems.

Document configurations, runbooks, and operational procedures clearly and thoroughly.

Core Technical Knowledge

Understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, TLS/SSL, DNS, and TCP/IP fundamentals.

Familiarity with at least one CDN platform — even if gained through personal projects, coursework, or labs.

Working knowledge of caching concepts: TTLs, cache-control headers, cache invalidation, and purging strategies.

Basic understanding of web security concepts such as WAFs, DDoS mitigation, and security headers (HSTS, CORS, CSP).
Scripting & Tooling

SEO/AEO Manager
Role Overview
The SEO Manager will be an integral member of the world-class team that drives the strategic media vision for one of the world’s leading luxury hospitality brands. Reporting to the Senior Director, Integrated Media, the SEO Manager will be part of a team that leads the development and implementation of global brand media plans, innovation, and optimizations across various lines of business and the hotel portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the brand’s macro search strategies and day-to-day actions against SEO and AEO.
This role is key to overseeing operations and reporting across all SEO and AEO programs, facilitating growth in organic traffic at global and local property levels. Over time, you will play a key role in growing and shaping the strategic direction of the Brand’s Global Search unit.
In this role, you will manage internal & external stakeholders, including but not limited to the SEO Agency, SEO tools and partners, brand marketing, website performance, design and content teams, analytics, legal, and properties as needed. You will be the steward of SEO /AEO best practices and implementation, as well as managing the performance of the SEO agency against agreed annual objectives and scope of work. The ideal candidate for this role will also actively bring new ideas to the table and have the skillset to turn them from concept into reality.
This role is offered as a 12-month contract requiring availability during EST business hours, with the potential to become a full-time position.

Key Activities
1. Own SEO/AEO Strategy & Roadmap

Own the global SEO/AEO strategy and roadmap, translating business growth priorities into clear, measurable initiatives across technical, content, local and AI search

Set priorities and define the SEO/AEO agenda in partnership with internal stakeholders, external SEO team, enterprise tools and partners

Ensure SEO/AEO initiatives are aligned with brand, editorial, commercial and business objectives

Develop and maintain SEO/AEO standards, guidelines and playbooks that can be scaled across global and local property teams
2. Orchestrate Cross-Functional & Agency Delivery

Act as the central in-house SEO/AEO lead, coordinating internal stakeholders and the external SEO team to deliver against the roadmap

Lead the relationship with external partners, including SEO agency, tools, and agency partners, ensuring the right expertise, resources, and execution are focused on the highest-impact opportunities

Build strong partnerships across Brand, Editorial, Commercial, Marketing, Website, Product, Analytics and property teams to embed SEO/AEO strategies into broader business and marketing activity

3. Drive Performance, Measurement & Optimization

Review and translate SEO/AEO insights from rankings, content performance, search trends, AI visibility, local search and conversion data into clear priorities and recommendations for the business

Lead regular performance reporting and business reviews, including property and Line of Business reporting, content scorecards, SEO/AEO roadmap updates and pre/post analysis of key initiatives

Use performance insights to optimize the SEO/AEO roadmap continuously, identifying opportunities, gaps and areas for improvement across organic, AI and paid search
4. Lead SEO/AEO Innovation & Capability Building

Keeping up to date with the latest advancements in search trends, Google Algorithm Updates, Paid Search strategies, and SEO/AEO best practices

Lead a test-and-learn agenda with internal and external teams to validate and scale new SEO/AEO opportunities

Identify new tools, technologies, partnerships, and ways of working that can improve SEO/AEO performance and efficiency

Knowledge of AI visibility reporting and tracking, or experience setting up these tools is a plus

A proven and successful track record in management of SEO campaigns

Expertise building innovative search solutions across a Global digital ecosystem; with the ability to understand business priorities and turn these into actionable recommendations to stakeholders to increase direct traffic

Fluency in paid media strategy building and cross-channel planning is required

College or University degree, preferably in a business or marketing/media communications program. MBA an asset
